Hoofddorp, July 9, 2021– Macaw today announced it has earned the Modernization of Web Applications in Microsoft Azure advanced specialization. This specialization validates a solution partner’s deep knowledge, extensive experience and proven expertise in migrating and modernizing production web application workloads and managing app services in Azure.
Only partners that meet stringent criteria around customer success and staff skills, as well as pass a third-party audit of their web workload deployment and management practices, including their ability to implement Azure App Service, can earn the Modernization of Web Applications in Microsoft Azure advanced specialization.
As companies seek to modernize their applications and take full advantage of the benefits that cloud computing can deliver, they look for a partner with advanced skills to migrate, optimize, and manage their existing web workloads via the cloud.
To earn this validation Macaw therefore had to undergo an extensive audit which examined the various phases, from design to deployment, along with quality checks, maintenance, security, and procedures. In addition, various performance criteria and certification standards had to be met and an active Gold Cloud Platform partnership entered into. The new certification program, including audits, was set up by Microsoft in 2021 to restructure its partner landscape and ensure quality. By working with an Advanced Specialization Partner an organization is guaranteed that its request will be met, regardless of the complexity. A Microsoft Partner with advanced specialization is one that has taken its skills, knowledge and processes to the highest level in terms of quality and can guarantee the reliability of its services.
Rodney Clark, Corporate Vice President, Global Partner Solutions, Channel Sales and Channel Chief at Microsoft explained: “The Modernization of Web Applications in Microsoft Azure advanced specialization highlights the partners who can be viewed as most capable when it comes to migrating, modernizing, and managing web applications in Microsoft Azure. Macaw has clearly demonstrated that it has both the skills and the experience to help clients start enjoying the benefits of the cloud.”
The Modernization of Web Applications in Microsoft Azure advanced specialization follows on from the Analytics in Microsoft Azure specialization. Michel Heijman, Principal Lead at Macaw had this to say about these achievements: “It’s a great reward for the dedication, passion and expertise of each individual, our team and the company. We focus strongly on our partnerships with Microsoft and Sitecore and this specialization recognizes both our technical and design skills in migrating applications to Sitecore, for example, as well as our methods and procedures. Both worlds come together nicely here. And we can guide customers all the way in transitioning from an old situation to a new Sitecore platform and help them be successful.”
