Hoofddorp, 20 October 2021 – Macaw today announced that it has earned the Microsoft Low Code Application Development Advanced Specialization as a Microsoft Gold Partner. The Microsoft Advanced Specializations are built on the related gold competencies that partners such as Macaw can earn. This is the fourth advanced specialization to have been earned by Macaw, which serves as recognition for the company’s know-how and strong validation of its expertise in building digital solutions through Power Apps and related technologies in the no-code/low-code application platform space.
The specialization was awarded through customer deployments, exceeding a set threshold of certifications and by demonstrating specific Microsoft cloud capabilities, which ensure high quality roll-outs for customers. Other criteria included cloud telemetry-based proof of production implementations using Power Platform components, as well as having a service in the App Source. In addition to demonstrating knowledge and experience in driving customer adoption of Microsoft low code solutions, realizing a specific number of built applications and active users, the growth of active users was also monitored. In this area, Macaw has realized a growth of 35% in the last 12 months.
Skills, experience, and customer successes
Rodney Clark, corporate vice president, global partner solutions, channel sales and channel chief at Microsoft, said: “The Microsoft Low Code Application Development Advanced Specialization highlights the partners who can be viewed as most capable when it comes to delivering low code applications. Macaw clearly demonstrated that they have both the skills and the experience to offer clients a comprehensive and professional low code application development service.”
“We’re grateful for the partnership with Macaw in building a strong Low Code App Dev practice. Macaw’s drive for customer success through deep investment in technical proficiency is very appreciated”, said Akansha Gawade, low code partner success lead global at Microsoft.
Part of exclusive group partners
“The entire team was thrilled to hear that we had earned the Microsoft Low Code Application Development Advanced Specialization. As one of only a few partners worldwide with this specialization, we are honored to be part of this select group”, said Michel Heijman, head of technology at Macaw. “We started building a dedicated team as early as the first version of the Power Platform in 2018 and identified how we could make our clients successful by deploying the platform in the best possible way. Since then we have enabled success for customers like Heineken, Nutreco, and Tata Steel with our governance solution and services to set clear frameworks for using the Microsoft Power Platform and have been building various Power Platform applications. This combination – commonly used apps and a clear framework on how to use the Microsoft Power Platform, as well as citizen and professional development – led to this specialization.”
Rob Eskes, lead solution consultant at Macaw, adds: “It’s great to receive recognition for our efforts in partnering with Microsoft to promote the Power Platform from its earliest days. We started with the one and only App in a Day workshops and nowadays we deliver all kinds of “in a Day” workshops, from Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to Virtual Agent. It’s remarkable to witness the potential of the Power Platform being reflected in the number of organizations and users – an enthusiasm that can also be seen in the registrations for our Macaw Power Platform Academy. The whole team looks forward to helping even more customers increase their customer experience and digital transformation.”
