What you do as a Senior Power BI Consultant
Data is a hot topic; many companies see the value of data, but then the customer also needs to have insight into the data. Our Data team work across the full spectrum of data: from traditional Business Intelligence solutions and Smart Data Platforms (SDP) to more advanced Analytics solutions with AI and Data Science. In the Power BI competence team we are very happy with our MVP, Marc Lelijveld.
Your role as Senior Power BI Consultant is to advise our customer about the value and application possibilities of Power BI. You have the lead role with the customer, you manage the project team and you oversee the entire project. Through your thorough knowledge of Power BI, your consultancy skills and your overview you realize the “actionable insights” needed to convince the customer and to help them with their value creation in data issues. An example of how we have helped the customer can be read here in the Basic-Fit case.
Your range of tasks is broad and varies per customer situation. From preparing and supervising workshops and asking requirements with users, to analyzing and designing data models and actually building analytical models, reports and dashboards. Your substantive knowledge of DAX, Power Query and Service, Power BI Solution Design and SQL Server will help you achieve this. You work for various Macaw customers and you follow market trends and innovations in technology.
Besides working on the success of our customers, you will also work on your own development. You will shape the role, the specialism and the direction that best suits you and your ambition.
