PGB Pension Services Selects Macaw as Its Strategic Data Partner

PGB and Macaw are collaborating to develop a new data management strategy and implement a new data platform.

PGB Pension Services (PGB), the administrator of the PGB Pension Fund, and Macaw have entered into a strategic partnership. Together, they will develop a new data management strategy and implement a new data platform. PGB aims to capitalize on the latest developments in data analysis and management, be fully prepared for the implementation of the new pension system, and offer participants the best possible customer experience.
Starting January 1, 2027, the pension fund must comply with the Future Pensions Act (WTP). To do so, it must have access to accurate data, which forms the basis for the redistribution of pension funds. In addition, participants want insight into how and where their pension contributions are invested. PGB aims to provide them with information as transparently as possible and offer an excellent user experience.

With the ambition to innovate and remain relevant to both current and future participants, PGB is committed to digital transformation and data-driven operations as prerequisites for realizing this ambition.

After a careful selection process, PGB chose Macaw. Macaw’s innovative strength, experience, expertise, and forward-thinking approach as a digital partner with offices in the Netherlands, Germany, and Lithuania were the deciding factors. Both parties are collaborating on both the development of the data strategy and the implementation of an advanced data platform.

Harry Vossebeld, COO of PGB Pension Services: “Like the entire pension sector, PGB is facing challenging times. As we transition to the new pension system and continue our digital transformation, it’s important for us to provide our participants and employers with a sense of security. We do this by offering them financial insight and clarity, by making pensions easy to understand, and by guiding them through the choices they need to make. In doing so, we want to be able to rely on strategic partners. Macaw is a professional partner with a great deal of expertise, and I am fully confident that they will continue to support us in achieving our goals in the coming years.”

Johan Taams, CEO of Macaw, sees great potential in the partnership. “PGB’s ambition is clear: putting the participant first and leveraging data to both comply with legislation and deliver the best experience. We help clients innovate in the AI era and look forward to making this a reality for PGB. Our experience in the financial sector, the expertise of our team and that of PGB, and a strong partnership will contribute to success and further developments in the field of machine learning and AI.”
