Working as Senior IT Project Manager

As Project Manager within Macaw, you are ultimately responsible for both customer satisfaction and the success of our projects. You thrive under pressure and you ensure that our customers successfully achieve their business objectives. Also you secure the project’s success through an optimal mix between smart stakeholder management, tight control and energetic project team management. You are involved in several parallel projects (on average 2 or 3, with an average duration of 4 months). So, you have to be able to switch quickly, both internally and externally and from different angles.
As a Project Manager, you work closely in a triangle with our Client Managers and Lead Consultants to successfully operate and further expand an account. Your skills as a driven relationship manager with excellent organizational sensitivity will come handy here. It is also common that as a Project Manager you are involved at an early stage in sales cycles, including quotation processes and tenders. You therefore contribute substantively to the project initiation by drawing up a solid plan and calculation in order to guarantee a good foundation for the project.
In addition to your autonomous role, you focus on your own projects and contributing to sales cycles, you are part of a stable senior team of 11 Project Managers, in which a helpful and informal atmosphere prevails. There is a lot of mutual contact about professional issues, and you can always fall back on your colleagues. For example, there is a fixed team meeting every 2 weeks, in which the status of the current portfolio is discussed, but above all experiences are shared and successes are celebrated.

To be able to be successful as a Project Manager you need to have the following:
- A demonstrable track record at senior PM level and described skills
- Strong experience (5 years+) with software development projects in the consultancy segment based on project management methodologies including Linear, DSDM/Agile/SCRUM. Certifications are a plus
- Sufficient knowledge and affinity with the Microsoft product stack
- IPMA C certification is a plus
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English language
An e-assessment and the presentation of a case are parts of the selection process for this role. For the assessment, we look at the extent to which you can perform under pressure, your focus on results, your drive, organizational sensitivity and your persuasiveness.
